On August 6, The Mariners’ Museum in Newport News will host an all-day event to mark the 20th anniversary of the recovery of the famous gun turret from the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor.
I’ll be involved all day, and will do a lecture and book signing in the afternoon. There will be Navy folks there doing demos and talking about their roles in the recovery. Admission to the Museum is only one dollar!
